About

In the same year Elvis Costello & the Attractions released their catchy cover of a Sam & Dave tune, I rather carelessly lost my right leg from the hip.

I’ve since discovered that riding a bike’s a lot easier than walking, and there’s some fun to be had in my daily dance with gravity. Although I don’t always get it right.

Coincidently, and remarkably, I’ve made it to the same age as Kenny Everett RIP…

Expect anything that might interest a thirsty, european, disabled, depressed optimist with several bikes, a tent, a camera, and an allotment, living in a prime minister’s constituency, but bikes as mobility aids tends to be the overriding theme.  Starts here…

2nd comment: I saw Sam & Dave at Colston Hall, Bristol – Stax Volt Tour – 1967 and shortly after Otis Redding died and music was never the same.
